At a military wedding in the U.S. in 2004, a former U.N. peace keeping
officer and an NGO worker are reunited, both still haunted by what they
witnessed in Rwanda in 1994. Sweet Mercy examines and attempts
to understand genocide in the hope of exorcising the evil, and being able
to rejoin the living. Amongst the ruins, playwright Melody Cooper
finds humor, hope, love and..... Titus Andronicus.

 

This staged reading is the first in a series of workshops that Epic Rep will produce in 2006.
